Vaccine mandate, Covid protocols spark comments at board meeting

For the second straight month, concerned community members spoke at the beginning of the Mariposa County Unified School Board meeting last week regarding various issues related to Covid-19.

Many voiced opposition to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s planned Covid-19 vaccine mandate for students. Others questioned and brought attention to Covid-19 measures currently in place at the local district. Overall, the discussion was respectful, with speakers thanking the board in their presentations.
