Too hot to handle: Holiday weather creates its own flame




While not a scientific thermometer reading, this home gauge shows an outdoor temperature of 107.9 degrees on Sunday afternoon in Lushmeadows. This was not, however the hottest temperature recorded this year. On June 15, the thermometer read 110 degrees in the same location. Yosemite Valley broke its all-time high record the same day.It seems ridiculous to even mention the heat in writing.
