Thomas Eugene “Tom” Foster, 80, left this world to be with his savior, Jesus Christ, on Nov. 7, 2018.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, MaryEllen. They met in 1966, married three months after their first date and enjoyed over 52 years together.
Tom was born in Minnesota, and as a young child, moved with his parents and older brothers to Southern California where he lived first in Redondo Beach and then in Woodland Hills. Tom worked most of his career at Litton Industries, until retiring in 1994 and moving to Mariposa where he enjoyed his retirement years with MaryEllen.
Despite battling rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 30, Tom enjoyed traveling and sports, and was dedicated to his churches, both in Canoga Park and Mariposa. In recent years, he spent quiet time with his loyal dog, Eeyore.
Tom is also survived by his son, Daniel; brother-in-law, Larry Bowen; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Emberly; parents, Ragna and Roy; and three siblings, Dick, Jim and Judy.
A memorial service will be held in Mariposa in the spring of 2019, and donations may be made to Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org), 1355 Peachtree St NE, Suite 600, Atlanta, GA 30309.
