The real shame of the government shutdown


The Sunday before Christmas, our family decided to take a trip to Yosemite National Park.

With my mother in town, it seemed like a great opportunity to show off our backyard, so to speak.

Of course, the trip came the day after the partial government shutdown, which is having an impact on the park.

The first sign of this came right off the bat after we went through the Arch Rock entrance which was, of course, free because there is nobody there to man the gates.
