The mystery of Squash Cave


This is a newspaper clipping from 1934, around the time of the “Squash Cave” adventure. Beverly Kauffman, the author of this story, is shown with her brother, Andy, skating the park. With them is Col. C.C. Thompson, who was the superintendent at Yosemite.As a child, I lived in Yosemite National Park before computers, cell phones and television. There weren’t many automobiles.
