State looks to reopen in June, caution is urged

Announced by the California Department of Public Health along with Gov. Gavin Newsom on April 6, the state is considering lifting the Blueprint for a Safer Economy to fully reopen the economy on June 15.

With 20 million vaccines administered statewide, the tier system will be lifted right before the summer season only if there is equitable vaccine availability and hospitalizations are considered stable and low, including those who have already been vaccinated.
