State coins can be fun way to start collecting

Davis BryantEveryone has some loose change lying around somewhere, and you most likely have a quarter with a state represented on the back. These coins are known as the “state quarters.” These coins are very easy to find and can be fun to collect.
The coins were minted or made by the U.S. Mint from 1999 to 2008. Every year, five additional coin designs would be made, each representing another state. The coins were minted by order of the years the states were brought into statehood.
