Sierra Star closes office, will continue to be printed

The offices of the Sierra Star newspaper have been closed, but officials at the parent company of the paper say publishing will continue.

The newspaper, owned by The McClatchy Company of Sacramento, printed a story in its latest edition announcing the office will be closed.

An official press release from the company said a reporter will remain in Oakhurst as well as an advertising salesperson. Those people will be working remotely, it said.
