The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office will be adding three vehicles for its volunteers.
In addition, the sheriff’s office will be adding a stock trailer and metal carport.
The vehicles are being purchased through a state grant, meaning the money will not be coming out of the general fund.
Sheriff Doug Binnewies, in a memo to the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors, referenced the Detwiler Fire and other emergencies as the reason he feels the new equipment is needed.
