Robert Nordstrom

 

 

Robert Steven Nordstrom was born on Oct. 12, 1962 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, Calif. and passed away in his sleep on March 5, 2019 in Mariposa.

He attended school in Newbury Park and graduated with honors from Newbury Park High School in June, 1981. He attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry in June, 1986.

He married Jennifer Heiser and they had three children: Linzy, Christine, and Steven. Jennifer and Robert divorced. The children lived mainly with Robert and their grandparents, Marlene and Dale Nordstrom.

Robert worked for the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District in Malibu, Calif. from 1986 to 1997 and drove for Roadrunner Shuttle in Camarillo from 1997 to August, 2014. He moved up to Mariposa and started substitute teaching here and in surrounding districts. He also had several summer jobs.

Robert’s father passed away in 2012. He is survived by his mother, Marlene Nordstrom of Mariposa; sister Lisa Holloway (Tim) of Fresno; daughters Linzy Nordstrom of Mariposa, Christine Hisel (Daniel) of Simi Valley; and son Steven of Seattle. He is also survived by granddaughter Kayle of Mariposa and grandson Isaiah of Simi Valley.

A memorial service will be held April 13, 2019, at the Mariposa Lutheran Church at 11 am.
