Dick was born Oct. 20, 1935 in Asheville, N.C.
He was a great father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and a very caring and compassionate friend. Dick was a painting contractor for over 50 years. Dick and Ramona also had “The picture peddler” business where Dick did all the assembling of mirrors, pictures and prints. Ramona would sell wholesale to stores and together they would do flea markets and antique shows. He raised seven children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Edna Jarrett; sister, Judy Woodard; his wife, Mary Lou Jarrett; daughter, Tammy Jarrett; granddaughter, Christina Jarrett; and his long time companion, Ramona Sanchez.
He is survived by his children Michelle and Bill Johnson, Jenine Jarrett, Heidi Jarrett-Brown and Leigh Brown, Richard Jarrett, Robert Jarrett and Randy Jarrett.
Also, grandchildren Doug Costa, Katie Johnson, Jamie Johnson, Heather Narvaez, Jason Kienzle, Sarah Bergman, Ryan Delgado; great-grandchildren, Myles Krull, Carson and Jeron John, Alyson Wetmore, Jayden Kienzle and Brynlee Ryan; and his long-time loyal family friend Joyce Stockman.
A celebration of life will be held March 3, 2018 at the Bootjack Stompers Hall at noon. The family will be providing tri tip and chicken and ask that you bring a side dish.
