Phillip Turgeon

On Wednesday April 4, 2018 Phillip Cecil Turgeon Jr., father, grandfather, uncle, son and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 68.

A native of California, Phil was a heavy duty mechanic who could fix anything from a small lighter to a large semi. If there was a schematic, Phil could fix it. Phil built up many cars and won awards for the ‘53 Chevy he found in a field and restored. He was an extraordinary mechanic with a tool for every job.

Phil is a veteran of the Vietnam conflict where he earned a purple heart in an ambush on a mission to Khe Sanh in 1968. He also won the Presidential Unit Citation in the battle of Hue City, three combat action ribbons, the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Phil is a proud Marine and loyal 18 year member of the Marine MC Motorcycle Club. He would say “once a Marine, always a Marine.”
