Patricia Crittenden was born in Oak Park, Ill., on Feb. 7, 1924 to David and Mae Timberlake. She passed away April 26, 2018, (on the birthday of two of her brothers), peacefully at home with eldest son and daughter by her side.
She was 94 years young, and in her words “was looking forward to the big party where she would see her deceased family and friends again.”
Patricia is survived by her son, Jim Crittenden; daughter, Joyce (Michael) Dobson; grandson, Shane (Tina) Parrish and child Josie; grandson, Jeremy (Brooke) Dobson and children Autumn and Brogan; grandson, Jim (Linda) Dunn and children Jessica and Janelle; granddaughter, Sherice Dunn and daughters Brittany and Mikala; daughter-in-law, Adele Davis; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was husband Dorsey Crittenden, son Ron Crittenden, brothers Tom, Ri and David Timberlake and her mother, Mae Brotman.
Patricia was a homemaker basically from the time she was 11 years old, as she had to help with her three younger brothers during hard times of the depression. She and her husband, Dorsey, loved to camp and fish, and gave the bug to rest of the family.
After Dorsey retired, they enjoyed traveling together, moved to Mariposa from Long Beach and lived here for 40 years. She loved to work in the garden, was a great cook and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for many years. She will be missed.
Many thanks to the compassionate people from John C. Fremont Home Health and Hospice for making her last few weeks of life as comfortable as possible.
Per Patricia’s wishes, no services will be held.
