An 18-year-old Mariposa man avoided prison on sex-related charges last week, but will have to spend five years on probation and register for life as a sex offender.
Michael Thomas Paige was sentenced last week in Mariposa County Superior Court before special Judge Douglas Boyak, a retired judge from Tuolumne County.
Paige pleaded no contest in March and then underwent mental evaluations ordered by the court.
