Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

March 27 – Larry Wilburn McCall, 53, Mariposa,
was arrested for disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol.

Sheriff’s Daily Log

March 23 – Harassment was reported at the homeless shelter in Mariposa. • There were suspicious circumstances on Darrah Road in Mariposa. • Someone found a puppy on Torito Way in Mariposa. • Vandalism was reported on Dexter Road in Coulterville. • Child abuse was reported on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • There was a neighbor complaint on Dogtown Road in Coulterville. • A commercial burglar alarm sounded on Jones Street in Mariposa. • A fire hazard was reported on Highway 140 in Midpines. • There was a suspicious person at the Woodland gas station in Mariposa. • A DUI was reported on Darrah Road in Mariposa. • An adult protective services issue was reported on Ramblin Road in Mariposa. • Trespassing was reported on Jasmine Court in Lake Don Pedro.

March 24 – There was an injured deer and a contained dog on northbound Highway 49 South. • Deputies responded to a civil issue on Broadway Road in Coulterville. • A car fire was reported on Highway 49 and Watt Road in Mariposa. • There were loose cows on Buckeye Road in Mariposa. • Someone found a cat on Chowchilla Mountain Road in Mariposa. • Suspicious people were reported on Highway 140 and on Jessie Street, both in Mariposa. • A scam was reported at True Value in Mariposa. • There was a stray dog on Paquala Springs Road in Mariposa. • There was a disabled vehicle on Jordan Creek Road in Mariposa. • There was a dog vs. dog incident on Ranchito Drive in Lake Don Pedro.

March 25 – An accident with property damage was reported on Darrah Road in Mariposa. • A missing puppy was reported on East Whitlock in Mariposa and a missing person was reported on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • A stolen travel trailer was reported on Almaden Road in Mariposa. • Suspicious vehicles were reported on Highway 49 South in Mariposa and on Vista Verde Circle in Lake Don Pedro and there was a suspicious person on Coakley Circle in Mariposa. • A stray dog was reported on Paquala Springs Road in Mariposa. • A goat was on Highway 49 and Allred Road, a dog on Cole Road and a vehicle was on Highway 140, all in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on Coakley Circle in Mariposa. • Kittens were dumped on Miller Road in Mariposa.

March 26 – There was an arching power pole on Darrah Road in Mariposa. • Calves were blocking Ben Hur Road in Mariposa. • A partial vehicle was in the road on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • There was a transient issue in 10th Street in Mariposa. • Target shooting was reported on Hunters Valley Road in Bear Valley. • Someone had a parking complaint on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Granite Springs Road in Lake Don Pedro and on Bullion Street in Mariposa. • Trespassing was reported on Paraje Way in Lake Don Pedro. • There was an abandoned vehicle on Sullivan Road in Mariposa. • A landlord/tenant issue was reported on Indian Gulch Road in Catheys Valley. • Trespassing was reported on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • Petty theft was reported on Enramada Drive in Lake Don Pedro.

March 27 – Vandalism was reported on Jessie Street in Mariposa. • There was a trapped kitten on Fournier Road in Mariposa. • A stolen vehicle was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Guadalupe Creek Road in Mariposa. • Someone had dog welfare concerns on Sherlock Road in Mariposa. • A fire alarm was sounding on Tip Top Road in Mariposa. • There was a loose dog on Old Highway in Mariposa. • Someone was disturbing the peace by refusing to leave on Mueller Road in Mariposa. • A verbal altercation was disturbing the peace on 10th Street in Mariposa. • Someone was drunk in public at the homeless shelter in Mariposa. • An unattended burn pile was reported on Triangle Road in Mariposa. • There was a transient issue on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa.

March 29 – Verbal altercations were disturbing the peace on Vista Verde Court in Lake Don Pedro and on Dogtown Road in Coulterville. • A burglar alarm sounded on Triangle Road in Mariposa. • There was an ambulance request on Upper Jackass Ridge Road in Greeley Hill. • There was a trapped cat on Fournier Road in Mariposa. • Trespassing was reported on Silvertip Lane in Fish Camp. • A dog was found on Highway 140 and someone had a complaint about loose dogs on Ganns Corral Road, both in Mariposa. • There was a loose cow on Ben Hur Road and brown cows in the road on Highway 49 South, both in Mariposa. • A gray cat was reported as missing on Allen Court in Mariposa. • There was a domestic dispute on Oak Canyon Drive in Mariposa.

The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
