Jail Booking Report

Here are some of the highlights from the recent booking reports at the Mariposa County Jail. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

March 9 – Dollie Willie Teresa Lopez, 55, Mariposa, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. • Christine Anne Franklin, 49, Mariposa, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. • Michael Anthony Nevis, 28, Concord, was arrested for possessing unlawful paraphernalia, on two counts of driving with a suspended license, failure to appear after a written promise, being a habitual traffic offender and exceeding 55 miles per hour on a two lane road.

March 10 – Ryan David Powers, 23, Mariposa, was arrested for violating probation. • Christopher Steven Daniels, 41, Merced, was arrested for transporting a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance for sale and possessing a controlled substance. • Nancy Lorraine Bonilla, 31, Modesto, was arrested for DUI.

March 11 – Lila Saint Dawn Buckner, 30, Mariposa, was arrested for child cruelty, violating a custody decree and possessing unlawful paraphernalia. • Joseph Snoden Brantley, 34, Mariposa, was arrested for DUI. • Roy Vernon Sapp, 64, Coarsegold, was arrested for writing false checks and conspiracy to commit a crime. • Matthew Ronald Chase, 27, Mariposa, was arrested on two counts of obstructing a public officer. • Arthur Richard Hershey, 35, Mariposa, was arrested on a post- release revocation and for trespassing.

March 12 – Deidra Marie Sweda, 30, Sacramento, was arrested for DUI. • Jonathyn Neilo Nazareta, 57, Coulterville, was arrested for failure to appear on a felony charge, possessing a controlled substance for sale and possessing a controlled substance. • Travis James Leballister, 29, Coulterville, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance and violating probation. • Manuel Rodriguez Plascencia, 27, Delhi, was arrested for receiving known stolen property. • Elias Maldondo Mendoza, 33, Delhi, was arrested for possessing unlawful paraphernalia, possessing a controlled substance and driving without a license.

March 13 – Michael Thomas Candler, 24, Mariposa, was arrested on a flash incarceration. • David Franklin Maclean, 66, Merced, was arrested for burglary, threatening with the intent to terrorize and violating probation. • Joseph Isaac Calderon Reyes, 22, Merced, was arrested on two counts of DUI.

March 14 – No bookings.

March 15 – Nina Tipanie Dobbs, 19, Mariposa, was arrested for driving with a suspended license after a DUI violation. • Rachel Marie Malone, 35, Mariposa, was arrested for child cruelty.

March 9 – Suspicious circumstances were reported on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley. • There was a loose black dog on Sharp Lane and a loose dog on Slaughterhouse Road, both in Mariposa, two loose dogs on Hornitos Road in Hornitos, two loose dogs on Allans Way in Coulterville, a loose black cow on Indian Peak Road in Mariposa, a missing dog on Little Bear Road in Mariposa and abandoned puppies on East Whitlock Road in Mariposa. • A scam was reported on Rumley Mine Road in Mariposa. • Grand theft was reported on Old Highway in Mariposa. • There was a vegetation fire on Highway 132 in Lake Don Pedro. • There was a transient issue on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • A possible DUI was reported on Indian Peak Road in Mariposa. • Someone had a noise complaint on Carstens Road in Midpines. • An attempted phone scam was reported on Princeton Way in Mariposa. • Loud music was disturbing the peace on Usona Road in Mariposa.

March 10 – There was an accident with property damage on highways 140 and 49 South in Mariposa. • A black lab was reported as missing on Slaughterhouse Road, a black dog was reported as missing on Valley Lane in Catheys Valley, and a missing dog was reported on Triangle Road in Mariposa. • There was an ongoing loose dog issue on Carleton Road in Mariposa, a loose dog on Ernst Road in Greeley Hill and loose hairy pigs on Italian Creek Road in Mariposa. • Dogs were reported as contained on Triangle Road and on Quail Ridge Drive, and as barking on Rainbow Road, all in Mariposa. • Identity theft was reported on Oakridge Road in Coulterville. • Suspicious circumstances were reported on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • There was an easement dispute on Yaqui Gulch Road in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • There was a report of trespassing on Highway 49 North in Mariposa. • A DUI was reported at Woodland Market in Mariposa. • There was an unsecured door at the library in Mariposa. • A suspicious person was reported at Rite Aid in Mariposa.

March 11 – A dog was abandoned on St. Andrews Road, a black poodle was impounded on Joe Howard Street, there was a loose rottweiler on Darrah Road and three loose dogs were reported on Highway 140, all in Mariposa. • There was a cow on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • Vandalism and suspicious circumstances were reported on Highway 49 South in Mariposa. • There was a traffic accident on Darrah Road in Mariposa. • Someone had a parking complaint on 10th and Jones streets in Mariposa. • Harassment was reported on Greeley Hill Road in Greeley Hill. • A hazard was reported on Fiske Road in Greeley Hill. • Pedestrians were reported on Highway 132 in Coulterville.

March 12 – Someone had a neighbor complaint on Whitmore Drive in Mariposa. • There were loose cows on Bear Valley Road and loose dogs on Silverbar and CYA roads, all in Mariposa. • Trespassing was reported on Dogtown Road in Coulterville.

March 13 – Missing people were reported on Yosemite Parkway in Yosemite and on Joe Howard Street in Mariposa, a missing dog was reported on Bear Valley Road and a missing cat was reported on Highway 140, both in Mariposa. • Loose cows were reported on Woodview Lane, Old Toll Road, Buckeye Road and Old Highway, all in Mariposa, and on Piney Creek Road in Coulterville. • A loose yearling was reported on Highway 140 in Catheys Valley and loose dogs were reported on Mary Harrison Mine Road in Coulterville. • There was a neighbor dispute on Whitmore Drive in Mariposa. • Child abuse was reported on Mykle Oaks Road in Mariposa. • An extra patrol was requested on Ben Hur Road in Mariposa. • There was a burn pile reported on Harris Cutoff Road in Mariposa. • A person was on Highway 140 in Mariposa.

March 14 – Petty theft was reported on Old Highway in Mariposa. • There was a loose cow on Old Toll Road and loose dogs reported on Vista Grande Way and on Bootjack Lane, both in Mariposa. • A pedestrian was on Highway 49 South in Mariposa. • Deputies were asked to check on the welfare of a horse on Indian Peak Road in Mariposa. • There was a traffic accident on Triangle Road in Mariposa. • A turtle was contained on St. Andrews Road in Mariposa. • There was a tree on Highway 41 in Mariposa.

March 15 – Suspicious circumstances were reported on Bear Creek Drive in Catheys Valley. • Vandalism was reported on Totokon Road in Mariposa. • Highway 140 was closed at the Bug Hostel. • There was a broken water line on Henness Ridge Road in Yosemite West. • Someone smelled burning electrical on Yosemite Oaks Road in Midpines. • Someone had leash law concerns on Hospital Road in Mariposa. • There was a tethered black dog reported on Ashworth Road in Mariposa. • A disabled vehicle was reported on Highway 140 in Mariposa. • Assault and battery was reported on Highway 49 North in Mariposa.

The above listed calls are actual reports to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office dispatch. These are just a sampling of recent calls, but are in no way all inclusive. The intent of this log is to demonstrate the wide array of issues with which Mariposa County law enforcement must deal, in addition to investigation of serious crimes and their routine patrol.
