It came with some controversy, but the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 last week to approve a new agreement with the Yosemite-Mariposa County Tourism Bureau.
The contract approved was a three-year agreement for a fixed $500,000 in the first year and a funding formula in years two and three. The funding formula is equal to 3.25% of a rolling three-year average of Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) receipts.
