Melanie F. Garringer passed away on Feb. 27, 2021, at the age of 51. She was born in Los Angeles in July of 1969 to Michael and Roberta Lindman. She passed away in Spokane Valley,
Wash., where she had moved five months prior, to be near her daughter and two grandchildren.
She graduated from Southwestern University in Illinois with her AA, with a paralegal certification. She was close in earned credits to her bachelors in legal studies through John F. Kennedy University in Concord, Calif., but was not able to complete her degree prior to passing away. Melanie and her husband, Danny, owned their own window tinting business, Rocky Mtn. Window Tint in Antioch for 17 years. She moved to Mariposa for four years where she lived with her parents. Mariposa afforded her new close friendships with people that had similar interests.
“Mel,” as her friends called her, had a big heart; assisting friends needing rides or helping families needing care due to illness and if anyone needed someone to talk to, she was there.
Melanie, was preceded in her passing and is now reunited with her husband, Danny A. Garringer, who passed away three years ago.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline and her husband Kyle Caldwell and her two grandchildren, Owen and Emily, of Spokane Valley; son, James A. Garringer and his wife Heather and their three grandchildren Zoey, Emily and Aubrey of Antioch; parents, Michael and Roberta Lindman of Mariposa; brother, David Lindman and his wife Starlyn of Merced; his three children, Nicholas, Sierra and Chandler and her lifelong sister in friendship, Debra Irving of Edmonton, Canada. In her husband’s family she was survived by a huge number of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
We love you so much Melanie (“Mel”). You will always be in our family’s hearts forever and missed every single day.
