Shari Wass has served Mariposa Elementary as a special education aide for 22 years. She will be missed by her students and by the entire district, said school district administrators, who also said they are happy for her and wish her the best. Starting from left, Martin “Tony” Munoz has served El Portal Elementary and Yosemite Valley School as the custodian for 21 years. Next to Munoz is Suzie Whitfield, who has served as El Portal Elementary secretary for 32 years. Mariposa County Unified School District administrators said they are sad to see her leave, but are extremely happy for her.
