McClintock supports death

Two million more Covid-19 deaths, all seniors, is what Congressman Tom McClintock proposes in his Dec. 12 article in the Gazette. He advocates an irresponsible “freedom” to infect and neglect the consequences. He states the survival rate for elder adults, 70 and older, is 94.6 percent. Therefore, 5.4 percent die; with a population of 36 million who are 70 and older, that spells a death toll of 1,976,940 U.S. seniors after all have been infected.
