I find it outrageous that Congressman McClintock accuses the U.S. Forest Service of not having public safety as a priority.
In the letter you printed Jan. 17, he falsely writes the USFS is “sluggish” to respond to emergencies while CAL FIRE is not. The reason implied is that the Forest Service “often view(s) catastrophic fire as a management tool.”
