Marina Jaramillo

Marina Anne Jaramillo was born in 1958. To her family she was known as Mer, a nickname given to her by her first grandson.

She was 63 when she left this world to go home to be with her Lord and Savior. She grew up in Alameda County and later moved to Mariposa, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She is survived by her three children, Darrah Rae (Daniel) Weiland, Daniel (Trista) Brocchini and Harper Rose ( Jesse)

Baldwin; her mother, Marilyn Johnson; six grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Marina was a creative, talented, loving and a beautiful woman inside and out who will be greatly missed. During her time in Mariposa, she enjoyed hiking, camping, gardening and everything outdoors. She was very creative and made beautiful bead work that was sold in the Yosemite gift shop.

Although she is no longer with us, her memory will live on through everyone whose lives she touched over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. in Building A at Mariposa Fairgrounds. All are welcome to attend.
