A Mariposa man was injured after crashing his ATV Monday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Will Lord, 40, was riding a 2001 Honda quad at around 10:55 p.m. on Pendola Garden Road north of Old Toll Road. That is located west of Mt. Bullion.

The CHP said Lord was driving the off-highway vehicle southbound on Pendola Garden Road and “failed to maintain a direct course of travel,” losing control of the vehicle.

The Honda went across the roadway and struck a dirt embankment on the west shoulder of the road. After striking the embankment, the Honda overturned and Lord was ejected from the quad.

The CHP said Lord was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto where he was treated for injuries “ranging from moderate to major.”

No other details about his injuries were released.

The CHP report stated it did not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the wreck.
