Mal Parham

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mal Parham.

Mal died at the age of 83 on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021.

Mal was born in Comer, Ga., and came to Merced by way of the Air Force. There he met Dede Adams and California became home. Unfortunately Mal was preceded by his wife Dede. He and Dede were long term residents of Mariposa and very involved in the community in their younger years.

Mal retired from Bank of America after 34 years, was active in the Mariposa Fish & Game and represented Bank of America for many years purchasing 4-H animals during the fair livestock auctions.

Mal is survived by his daughters Debra Spencer of Fresno and Missy Nickerson of Meridian, Idaho, as well as grandsons DJ Parham and Donald Spencer, Jr.

Although he will be greatly missed, we celebrate his life and the reunion of Mal and Dede.
