There’s really nowhere for the Mariposa County High School football team to go but up after last season.
The team finished 2-8 last season in one of its toughest years in recent memory. It must have felt like an ongoing nightmare for first year head coach Robert Stitt, who saw most of his top players succumb to injury.
The team also struggled trying to learn a new offense and adapting to the loss of coach Ryan Oliphant, who stepped down just prior to the season starting.
