Jimmy Moore

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, our beloved Jimmy went home to be with his Heavenly Father. As his wife, Gloria, lovingly calls him, “Jimmy Baby” fought a valiant fight against his cancer but now he is where there is no cancer, or illness or sadness. He was born Jan. 2, 1944.

He always made a difference wherever he was and Mariposa was no different. Jimmy served his community by volunteering with Manna House and the Salvation Army. He was also a member of the Mariposa

Community Choir.

Jimmy and his wife Gloria attended New Life Christian Fellowship. As was Jimmy’s nature, he served his church community by being on the Benevolence Team and helping on church work days.

For his country, Jimmy served in the United States Navy for four years.

While Jimmy had a very caring and kind deposition he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind which was awesome because you always knew where you stood. For fun, he played bridge with a local bridge group and had a love of bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gloria; his brothers, Ricky and Bill; two sons, Raul, David and their spouses; four grandchildren, one great grandson and other loved family members.

The celebration of Jimmy’s life and hope in Jesus Christ will be held Saturday, April 17th at 11 a.m. at New Life Christian Fellowship, 5089 Cole Road, Bootjack.

There will be a potluck held afterwards so please bring your favorite main entrée, side, salad, soup or dessert to share. You know how Jimmy loved his potlucks!

In lieu of flowers, Gloria has requested that if you would like to, please send a donation to New Life Christian Fellowship, 5089 Cole Road, Mariposa, CA 95338 — write in the memo, “In Jimmy’s Moore memory.”
