The Mother Lode Jewish Community is celebrating Tu B’Shvat ( Jewish Arbor Day) on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Tu B’Shvat, also known as the “New Year for Trees,” is considered the Jewish Arbor Day. In the Mother Lode communities, there is a wide variety of trees and plants. Organizers said this is a time to celebrate this Jewish holiday and be mindful that all people are stewards of the earth and its produce.
