After a yearlong study, officials at John C. Fremont Healthcare District have announced new minimum hourly pay rates for some positions at the hospital.
The study was done by a team from the district, led by Gonzalo Tafoya, the chief nursing officer.
It was geared toward the positions that are basically, but not all, entry level positions and Tafoya said a lot of it is to try to make the hospital’s pay rate above other comparable jobs in the area.
