Around 85 acres burned in a fire that began Sunday near Bear Valley.
The Hunters Fire was reported near the intersection of Hunters Valley Road and Detwiler Road in that area. That same area is where the Detwiler Fire began in 2017 and burned nearly 82,000 acres.
Fortunately, in this case, the fire was reported 90 percent contained by Tuesday morning of this week. Evacuations were ordered along parts of Hunters Valley Road and Bear Valley Road, though no other details were available.
There were airplane retardant drops on the fire as well as helicopters used to douse the blaze, according to CAL FIRE.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the CAL FIRE website.
No other details were available at our press time on Tuesday.
