Andy was an avid mountain man, raised in El Portal, Calif. He worked for the National Park Service for 20 years or more.
He was the first of seven children. He loved fishing, hunting and camping. He was the family cook, specializing in BBQ style meals at deer camp, and our yearly Easter picnic. He enjoyed western style dress and activities.
Preceding in death were his parents Howard and Lorraine Thompson, sisters Sharon Thompson-Law and Betty Thompson Jenkins and brother Aaron Thompson.
Andy leaves behind his daughters, Michelle Thompson of Blackfoot, Idaho and spouse Darrin; and Patricia Van Deventer and spouse Jasmine of Las Vegas, Nev. He also leaves sisters Louise (Toni) Thompson-Jones and Nancy Thompson-Fairchild and brother Jerry Thompson and wife Lisa.
In addition, grandchildren Shelly and spouse Sergio, Gary and spouse Miranda and Sarah Jane Thompson, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Our family has lost a rock!
