Hospital dealing with effects of Ferguson Fire


Kristen Clayton, chief nursing officer for the John C. Fremont Healthcare District, said the Ferguson Fire has created difficult situations for the hospital’s home health and hospice department.
Many of the patients have had to seek refuge at shelters or leave Mariposa County to seek better air conditions.
“It’s been difficult for them,” said Clayton. “The air quality has been bad. The power outages (in certain areas) have added to the struggle as well.”
