Mariposa County officials will be conducting a homeless survey on Jan. 23.
This will provide the county with an accurate count of homeless or unstably housed individuals and families. That will then enable officials to develop a community wide plan to eradicate homelessness.
The count will be conducted by volunteers and will occur at various checkpoints, which include:
• Mother Lode Job Training, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Mariposa Heritage House, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• St. Joseph’s Church, 1-5 p.m.
