Overgrown and hazardous property, like this example above, is a major concern in Mariposa County.

There’s little doubt two major wildfires in Mariposa County have people on edge.

The Detwiler and Ferguson fires, in 2017 and 2018, have left many in the community nervous, in fear and wondering when the next fire might happen.

Because of that, the subject of hazardous vegetation, especially on private property, has come to the forefront for the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors.
