A young male wolf was tracked in Mono County recently, the farthest south one of the controversial creatures has been tracked in more than 100 years.
According to a story in the San Francisco Chronicle, researchers have been monitoring OR-93, the name given to him and used with his tracking collar. Officials said the animal had apparently left Oregon earlier this year, likely in search of new territory.
