Harry Strawbridge’s response to my letter reveals the depths of his ignorance, disingenuousness and misplaced moral outrage. He must have read the classic “How to Lie with Statistics.”
Strawbridge’s letter is largely devoid of actual facts or data, but the one statistic he does provide is just plain false. Strawbridge claims, “According to, 71 of 222 drugs approved by the FDA between 2001 and 2010 were later recalled due to serious safety issues.”
