Gerald “Jerry” Preston, 75, began his life in Heaven on May 17, 2021, after living a full life here on earth.
A loving, caring husband to the love of his life, Rose, they spent 46 years together raising their family, which was his greatest pride and joy.
Before his health declined, Jerry was an expert woodworker. He loved to fish and had many camping trips with Rose and their grandchildren by his side.
Jerry was born to Clinton “Dute” and Thelma Preston and lived his entire life in Mariposa County.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Rose; their children, Phillip, Cindy, Tim and Kurt (Cara); and their grandchildren, Chase, Marissa, Jerry Robert, Nick, Joe, Justin and Brad. He is also survived by his brother, Gary (and Denise, who was as close to him as a sister) and sisters, Nadine ( John) and Nancy, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jerry was loved by all his brothers-in-law and sisters in-law with whom he shared many stories and laughter. He will truly be missed but memories of Jerry bring peace to our hearts.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, June 26 at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Community Church located at 32505 Road 600 in Raymond with a potluck reception to follow.
