Freddie Steagall


 

 

Our hearts are saddened to report, after a long illness, the passing of Freddie Gene Steagall on Feb. 28, 2018 at the age of 79.

He was born in Bakersfield, Calif., and raised in Pismo Beach, Calif. His family and friends were the most important part of his life and being a proud father he often spoke if his children’s ambitions and accomplishments.

In his younger years he worked as a musician and in his later years he worked in the film industry.

He was forced into retirement at the age of 73 due to illness and sad to say never stopped missing his work and his co-workers.

He loved guitars, country music, motorcycles and vintage cars.

 

 

With all his other accomplishments in life, Fred was proud to serve his country in the Navy, joining in 1955.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Barry Steagall, and Amy Mae Cagle Steagall Fugate Ison; brothers, Andrew Steagall and Brad Fugate; and granddaughter Katie Steagall.

Fred is survived by his wife, Theresa Fern Steagall; brother, Jack Steagall; sister, Sheila Wilmouth; children, Dejah Fern LeMonte, Debra Jean Scolari, Freddie LeRoy Steagall and Brian Ottis Steagall; grandsons, Nicholas Scolari, Joseph Scolari Lucas steagall, Jacob Steagall, Shaun Steagall, Travis Steagall and Andrew Steagall; and granddaughter, Audra Steagall.
