First classroom cluster identified

Covid cases remain high in county, vaccinations still under 50 percent

Over the weekend alone, Mariposa County Public Health reported 40 positive cases of Covid-19. Among the majority of the cases are children.

Last week the local school district had its first cluster of cases within the classroom, with extracurriculars like volleyball and football also attributing to case reports. The Mariposa County Unified School District has reimplemented the Covid-19 screening at the high school and plans to do the same for both Woodland and Mariposa elementary schools.
