Final chance given for Don Pedro sewer rates


Residents in Lake Don Pedro will have one more chance to approve wastewater rate increases, or the county may have to take matters into its own hands.
At issue is the aging wastewater system and how much it will cost to get that system into compliance.
Mariposa County Department of Public Works Director Mike Healy said the system is in such a state of disrepair it “has failure written all over it.”
