Doors slam shut on Mariposa NAPA store



With the click of a deadbolt on Tuesday, Mariposa reverted to a one-horse town — at least in the world of auto parts.
Mariposa’s NAPA Auto Parts Store abruptly closed Tuesday with the arrival of a locksmith and trucks from the Fresno NAPA distribution center.
The store was not a local franchise, but a corporate store operated out of Fresno. Brian Schafer, the manager of the Fresno distribution center, couldn’t be reached Tuesday by the Gazette for comment.
