Some parts of the community have objected to the board of supervisors raising their own salaries; the arguments are fair and appropriate on both sides of the discussion.
However, I am concerned that the arguments have devolved to inappropriate name-calling and the questioning of the very integrity of our elected officials. I write to object to that behavior, and believe that it does not contribute to a better community; quite the contrary.
