To protect the public from the hazard of dead trees, Darrah School has been temporarily closed off to the public.
“It is being closed because our contractor, Blue Ridge Services, has told us there may be a hazard or a risk associated with trees on a neighboring parcel that could fall into the playground or onto the building,” said Mariposa County Chief Administrative Officer Dallin Kimble. “Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve closed the school.”
