She was 69 years old.
Darleen was born Jan. 25, 1949 to Frank and Louise Boteilho in Honolulu, Hawaii. She retired in 2015 from Mariposa County after working 28 years as an executive secretary for the Public Works Department.
Darleen enjoyed working in her beautiful yard, shopping, going to Giants games, but mostly spending time with her family and grandchildren she loved so much.
Darleen is survived by Clair, her husband and love of her life for 49 years; children Lynette (Mike) McDonald, Paul (Ruby) Peterson and Jolee Peterson (Pete); mother, Louise Coon; brothers Mark (Peggie) Boteilho, Darel (Marilyn) Boteilho; sister Margie ( John) Ewen; 10 grandchildren she adored — Amanda, Zackary, Nathan, Emma, Brendan, Emilee, Maddie, Jacob, Jau-Win and Wech-choo-silh; several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
The family invites people to a memorial service on Feb. 24, 2018, at noon at McCay Hall in Cathey’s Valley. Please bring your favorite dish and special memory of Darleen to share.
