Covid hospitalizations up in county

Officials also discuss monkeypox, though no cases in Madera County have been reported


In addition to reporting on Covid-19 and supporting World Breastfeeding Week, the Madera County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) on Friday shared the state’s response to the latest possibly alarming threat to well-being — monkeypox.

Don’t worry. No cases of monkeypox were reported to the public in Madera County as of press time. Neighboring Fresno County reported seven cases as of Aug. 5.
