Mariposa County was one of six counties in the United States to receive a $15,000 grant to improve itself.
At the Tuesday, Feb. 27 board meeting of the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors, a resolution was approved allowing the county to receive $15,000 from the National Association of County and City Health Officials. The funds will go toward gaining accreditation for the county through the Public Health Accreditation Board.
