County needs animal shelter

I was very disappointed in the sheriff’s department in the heat of the day at the parade walking that poor dog on the hot pavement.
It is bad enough that the county has a kill impound facility where very few dogs and almost no cats have a chance to get adopted. People are allowed to call and make a time to look at the abandoned animals, if you can catch someone in the office.
