County cooling centers are ready to open when extreme heat hits

State may see record high temps in July

Summer has hit Mariposa County, and the rest of the state, with blistering temperatures and the possibility that June may go down as one of the hottest months on record.
The National Weather Service has predicted that temperatures will continue to be hot through the first week of July, and many areas of California, including Mariposa, will continue to see temperatures of more than 100 degrees.
