Business owners report brisk sales for holidays

Snow helped bring tourists; locals’ buying helped out

Businesses around Mariposa County reported healthy holiday sales.
“Business is great, fantastic,” said Seth Mayer, operations manager at Badger Pass Ski Area near Yosemite.
“The snow is great. It’s more snow than we’ve had in the last four years,” Mayer said.
December 29 was the resort’s busiest day, and during Christmas week they had 1,000- plus skiers on the hill, according to Mayer.
