Burning permits no longer required

On Monday, the CAL FIRE Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit (MMU) lifted the burn permit requirement in Mariposa County.
CAL FIRE burn permits are not required. Open burning will be allowed on “Permissive Burn Days” as established by Mariposa County Air Pollution Control District.
