The CAL FIRE Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit has announced that effective at 8 a.m., all hazard reduction burning will require a burning permit.
CAL FIRE is accommodating Covid-19 social distancing protocols and permits are available online at burnpermit.fire.ca.gov. Residents can also obtain permits at their local CAL FIRE station.
